World Fairy Festival This Weekend!
World Fairy Festival, May 3 and 4, 2008
This time of year has long been regarded as a sacred holy celebration in Celtic traditions. Beltaine is a time of honoring Mother Nature, of heralding springtime, and celebrating the spirit of the environment. So it’s fitting that we are linked internationally for World Fairy Festival on Beltaine weekend, connecting with the nature angels . . . also known as the fairies.
The fairies represent the pure power and life force energy of Earth and all of her inhabitants. Think of them as the Knights and Guardians who protect Mother Earth. The fairies are the overseers and healers of the air, land, water, and beings of the Earth. The more of us who believe in the fairies, the more power they have to heal and protect our precious planet.
In the past, fairies have been feared and maligned as untrustworthy or filled with mischief. Well, the fairies ARE fun-loving, with the emphasis on the word LOVING. The fairies remind us that our inner child is fully alive, and needs to come out and play.
There is nothing fearful about the fairies. They are beings of high integrity with an important purpose. They are just as much God’s creation as are the celestial angels and you and me. They ARE trustworthy and safe divine beings of light and love.
Let us all commit together today to help the fairies’ sacred mission of environmental healing and protection by doing our part. Let us all promise to recycle and to use earth-friendly cleaning and personal supplies; to treat animals, birds, and fish with compassion and love; to play, laugh, sing and dance; and to spend daily time outdoors in nature.
Thank you fairies, for your gifts to the earth! Thank you for watching over the Heavenly Creations. We now commit to being conscientious stewards of this planet.
With love,
Doreen Virtue
