Traditional decision-making:
-Linking initial and consequential alternatives with an informal method of handling uncertainties.
-Intuition and judgment form the crucial element for managerial success.

Any analytical approach for decision making, risk management, has to be both consistent and of general applicability. Unless eliminate all uncertainty, there is no guarantee of successes in every situation. Decision, small or big, can lead to a cascade that can have an overall dramatic effect. It is important, therefore, to make good decision, and arguably with expression, better decision can be made. With many big company’s fallacy and big organization falling to sustain at the top, history seems to be telling us that in addition to experiences, a more rational approach to uncertainty is needed. It is important to note that:
- Creativity and vision create ideas for action
- Rational analysis enables better exploitation of these ideas.
