Alliteration: occurs when 2 words begin with the same sound.
Metaphor: is a direct comparison between two dissimilar objects using a linking verb
Simile: is a comparison between two dissimilar objects using "like or as"
Personification:is when the writer gives human characteristics to things
Imagery: is a technique used by writers to appeal to the senses of the reader throught description
Hyperbole: is a deliberate exaggeration used for emphasis which usually has some basis in truth
