Women’s Doubles at Australian Open 2007
The young doubles have set a unprecedented record that no Taiwannese made before in Grand Slams. They are Yung-Jan Chan and Chia-Jung Chuang, a perfect partner, and they finally entered the Final of the Women’s Doubles after two weeks’ competition. Before entering the Austranlian Open 2007, the two young talents have played several games at Australian Open Pregame because they didn’t have a higher world ranking to let them enter the Autralian Open without pregame. Even then, the two young talents still got one ticket into the Austranlian Open 2007.
Maybe the young doubles had had several matches in pregame so that they could bring their skill into full play in every game until entering the Final. At the Semi-Final, the two young talents met the toughest teammate from China, one of the topest players in women’s doubles, who won the champion of Australian Open 2006. So it was a great challenge for both of them. They grasped the break-point in first set and won the first set. God help those who help themselves, the two young talents finally got the tight and tense second set. Fianl score 6-3 6-4.

I hoped i could watch whole game but the internet went down when i was watching the hung-up game, i only warched the first and second games.><
Once again, the young doubles faced the top players from South Africa, the NO.3 seeds, who won the 2005 Wimbledon Doubles title. It was really a difficult match but the two girls still won the second set in the tiebreak. They had brought their skill into full play. Eventually, they lost the Final all the same in the hard 3-sets fight. Final score 6-4 6-7(4) 6-1. the two young talents got the second place of Women’s Doubles at Australian Open 2007.

Yung-Jan Chan (詹詠然), 17, and Chia-Jung Chuang (莊佳容), 22, set a new record in Grand Slams. The two young talents are a great combination and admirable players to me. It’s really exciting to see asia players in Grand Slams which are formed in a majority of western players. Go Asia! Go Chan and Chuang! Go Lu (盧彥勳) and Wang (王宇佐)!!! Once again, Chan and Chuang, you are pound of Taiwan!!!

p.s. Roger Federer, the Federer express (瑞士特快車), has won two champion title at Autralian Open in continual two years, and he has won 9 championship in last 10 Grand Slam Finals. He lost only one final match to Marat Safin(沙皇) from Russia at Australian Open 2004. He is my favorite tennis player becuse of his talent. And Serena Williams won the Women’s Final at Australian Open 2007, she beat Maria Sharapova in the Final.
