LLondon, March 31 (ANI): A child Math prodigy who won a place at Oxford University when she was just 13, is now working as a 130pounds-an-hour prostitute in Manchester, it has been revealed.

A child Math prodigy who won a place at Oxford University when she was just 13, is now working as a 130pounds-an-hour prostitute in Manchester, it has been revealed.

Sufiah Yusof, now 23, whose father Farooq is a Pakistani and mother Halimathon is from Johor, was reported to have entertained an undercover reporter from Britain’s News of the World, in her flat in Manchester.

Claiming that she had posted her services for 130 pounds on the Internet, the newspaper said she had called herself Shilpa Lee on a hookers’ website. She is said to have advertised herself as ”a sexy, smart student” who preferred ”older gentlemen”.

She is also alleged to have described herself as a ”very pretty size 8, 32D bust and 5’5’’ tall - available for bookings every day from 11am to 8pm.” The website has been shut down since then.

The news comes just days after Sufiah’s father was jailed for sexually assaulting two 15-year-old girls as he home-tutored them in Maths.

Sufiah passed the Maths A-Level she needed for entry into Oxford at the age of 12. Three years into Oxford, she sparked a massive police hunt after running away.

At the time her father bizarrely claimed Sufiah had been kidnapped and brainwashed by an organisation seeking the key to her intelligence. But Sufiah sent an e-mail to her family describing her life under her father as a ”living hell”.

Farooq denied that he had pushed Sufiah too hard and implied that she was being told what to say by those controlling her.

Police later found her living in Bournemouth, posing as a student among the 30,000 foreigners who go to the seaside resort each year to study English.

The report, which carried grainy photographs of a semi-nude woman it claimed was Sufiah, said the girl met the reporter who posed as a client wearing a tiny skirt, leather boots and a tight T-shirt. The report also said that the girl was carrying three mobile phones.

She also told the reporter that she was studying for a Masters degree in Economics.

”Sufiah has suffered so many knocks in her life. I just hope she can drag herself out this life she has got herself into,” News of the World quoted Sufiah’s pal, as saying.

”She is a good person and deserves a much better life than this. Her gift really has been a curse,” the pal added. (ANI)

There is also a video footage taken with Sufiah in sexy lingerie or semi-nude posing for the tabloid.

Meanwhile, other newspapers managed to interview Sufiah Yusof’s mother who is living in London (I guess they did not manage to interview Sufiah Yusof because their money offer is not good enough…).

Farooq Yusof with wife Halimahton. They gave up their jobs to educate their children at home
The father of a child maths genius is accused of groping a teenage girl.

Sufiah Yusof went to Oxford aged 13 but ran away claiming that her parents had put too much pressure on her, provoking a national debate on the treatment of prodigies.

Now the Daily Mail can exclusively reveal that her father Farooq Yusof, 50, has been charged with sexually assaulting a girl, who is not a relative.

He is alleged to have touched the girl, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, on the chest outside her clothes.

Under his real surname of Khan, he appeared before magistrates and was remanded in custody last month, where he currently remains awaiting his next court appearance.

Khan, who describes himself as a ’maths researcher’, has not entered a plea. The case will go to Coventry Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on January 18.

The alleged assault happened on May 21 this year. The maximum sentence for sexual assault is 14 years in jail, and the minimum six months.

Sufiah’s father and mother Halimahton, a scientist, gave up their jobs to educate their five children at home.

It was in 1997 that his daughter Sufiah went to St Hilda’s College, Oxford, at the age of 13. In 2000, Sufiah, then aged 15, fled the university the day after her third year exams.

Sufiah Yusof: The Oxford student refused to go home
She went to Bournemouth, where she worked as a waitress. After 12 days she was found by police in an internet cafe but she refused to return to her parents. She was taken into care by a foster family and revealed she had run away to escape the ’living hell’ she said her father had created.

In a searing email sent to her parents’ home opposite Warwick University in Coventry, she made clear how deep her estrangement was. She wrote: ’I’ve finally had enough of 15 years of physical and emotional abuse.’

She claimed her father, from Pakistan, became enraged if she failed to understand her lessons, and made her work in the cold to aid concentration.

Sufiah had thought Oxford would be her escape, but her father joined her there. She added that she never wanted to see her ’controlling and bullying’ father again.

Sufiah returned to Oxford in October 2002 to take the final year of her maths course. Although she failed to complete the course, she found love with Jonathan Marshall, a trainee lawyer from Keble College.

Both strict Muslims, they married three years ago. The couple said at the time that they planned to move to London and have ’many children’.

Sufiah’s parents moved from their rented home opposite Warwick University four months ago. At her new home, also in Coventry, Sufiah’s mother would not comment.

A Crown Prosecution Service spokesman confirmed that Farooq Bashir Khan, 50, has been charged sexual assault on a female aged 13 or over by touching her without consent.
