紐約市警20日公布於18日深夜在曼哈頓哈林區持槍搶劫華裔外賣郎的兩名非洲裔嫌犯圖像，其中持槍射傷外賣郎的一嫌將被控企圖謀殺(attempted murder)罪名；外賣郎工作的餐廳則表示，外賣郎仍在住院接受治療，等候手術取出彈殼，但「還算幸運，沒打到骨頭」，預計兩日後即可出院。
18日晚10時50分許，39歲的華裔陳姓外賣郎在騎電單車送餐途中，於哈林區西131街交Lenox大道處遭兩名非洲裔持槍搶劫；在外賣郎掙扎反抗過程中，兩匪之一掏槍射擊，打傷外賣郎右腿，隨後兩匪搶走電單車後逃逸。

警方20日公布兩名嫌犯圖像，指出兩名劫匪均為非洲裔，一名20多歲、另一名40多歲，表示兩人當夜欲搶奪華裔外賣郎所騎的電單車，當受害人不依並反抗時，較年輕的那名劫匪掏出手槍，射中外賣郎的右側大腿，隨後搶走電單車。
事發地離轄管該區的市警32分局僅隔四個路口，槍響後大批警員趕到現場，中槍倒地的外賣郎也被立即送到五條街外的市立醫院哈林分院(NYC Health+ Hospitals/Harlem)搶救，所幸無生命危險。
根據警方從附近調集的監控錄像顯示，開槍劫匪作案時身著深藍色印有「USA」和美國國旗的套頭衫，穿藍色牛仔褲及紅色運動鞋；警方對此匪發出通緝令，稱將控以企圖謀殺罪名。
另一劫匪則頭戴紅色、印有蝙蝠俠標誌的棒球帽，身穿白色短袖T裇；他若被捕將被控以四級重竊罪。
警方呼籲看到圖示者或有相關線索，應立即撥打911報警，或聯絡市警曼哈頓北區探員部，電話為(212)694-1093。
遭劫且不幸受槍擊的陳姓外賣郎在位於百老匯大道交西141街由華裔經營的「Geisha Sushi」日本餐館工作。該店經理陳Brian20日表示，傷者是該店資歷最淺的外賣郎，剛工作了幾個月；該店通常晚間10時後不再接受新的點單，該外賣郎當時是去送此前已點過的餐。
陳經理表示，該店雖位於哈林區，但治安還算不錯，很少發生搶劫案，事發地點也並不算危險地段。他說，店內其他幾名外賣郎都已工作了幾年，經驗較豐富，自己日常也交代員工，危險的區域不送，且遇上電話訂單並要求現金付款，且地址、號碼陌生，還是大訂單，則先查明送餐位置，若位於政府樓群或偏僻地段，則要提高警覺；若遇搶劫，先把對方要的東西給出去，「命是賺不回來的」。
陳經理表示，此次該外賣郎不幸因反抗而遭槍擊，但所幸子彈沒打到骨頭，目前還需手術將大腿內子彈取出，預計兩日後即可出院；他還說，轄區市警32分局探員向其報告辦案進展時透露，「嫌犯可能就是當地社區居民」，如今已獲清晰圖像，相信很快就會緝拿歸案。
