The day's excursion covers such landmarks as the Ossuary of Douaumont, Fort Douaumont, the Trench of Bayonets, and the 「London Trench,」 before heading to the Argonne for lunch and a tour of the battlefields where General Pershing's American Expeditionary Force became embroiled in the conflict. You'll visit the War Museum in Romagne and, of course, the Meuse-Argonne's US Cemetery – the largest American cemetery in Europe, where more than 14,000 graves dot the huge hillside with white crosses.
