After my Godpa got sick, I am trying to help my Godmother to apply VA benefits and look for many resources. Even though he is no longer need it. I have found a great program that could keep people out of nursing facility. Have you ever been to any nursing facility? That is the most depressing place. We know each one of workers there do their best to take care of their residents, but that is not really a place to be. It would be better if we could have better program to keep them out of it. In Taiwan, there is a government program that helps family to take care of elderly. I am not sure if any program in US like that. A long time friend has shared with me as she is also fighting battle for her husband also a veteran like my Godpa. She is selfless sharing me with this NC Independent Living Rehabilitation Program. Within this program most people can modify their living environment into ADA equipment. I will share this program in my next week radio.
