Tribulation of widowhood

Tribulation of widowhood by Toughrose

I lost my husband in2019 spring of 2019 so I have been a widow for 2 years and 8 months. My radio program will begin this new topic about the tribulation of widowhood with my Godmother who just lost my Godpa in 2021 fall less than a month. Two of us will go through the toughest journey to share about what we and other widows have been through. Dealing with death and memories of all. When my husband passed, I found out one of his past bosses also passed right after their son’s death. That is double pain and I really do not know how she can handle it. I met his wife from one of our trips to the NC lighthouse riding with their boat. My heart is already broken by many pieces and how about hers? My Godmother just buried her beloved cat, TC as she is like their son too. Now he has joined his dady there. Over the years I lost so many people in my life, my father passed away in 2016 that my mom is also a widow. Both my mom and my Godmother have their religious beliefs. My mom is a temple master and my Godmother is a church member as both of them served for their own God. My mom always said life and death is a natural cycle each of us will experience in our own time. In 2005 a German lady from DC lost her husband and I really could not fully understand her pain till I went through mine. Few of my Godmother’s friends also just recently became widows. I knew many stories out there and someday all of us will go through that. This is a heavy weight on me to share about it. If you are a widow like us, please feel free to share your stories and come together with our strength and continue with our journey. There is much greater sisterhood with widowhood. Will you share what are your top three challenges?
For me at that time, finance, my son's future, my goal. I was lucky to have my Godparents by my side when I deal with it and now I hope this program will have touched more widows' hearts with tears and laughter.
