感時興懷

Deep within me is pure silence.
It’s not the silence of silence,
It’s my own silence.
Silenter than the silence of silence.

Night falls,
With it the dark,
Its nature,
Not even a star glistering
In its blackness.

Wise Man, give me advice:
When will dawn break,
Banishing the darkness?

Che said: A true revolutionary has a warm heart.

And I sincerely hope that people protesting or sitting in the demonstration at the plaza or simply staying at home will have a warm heart and a rational head, working together to help Taiwan go through the political as well as social darkness.

i haven’t really studied Che. i’ve heard nothing but praises for him. i first heard about him from a South American roommate in 1970. he told me Mao and Che were all great men and heros.

but in a movie about Castro, Che was portrayed as a rather cold and heartless person to his comrade who had questioned the failure of the revolution in delivering its promises to the people and even the very nature of the revolution.

it’s an American film and US government hated him. don’t know how much truth there is in the script tho’.
