此曲首由美國三位姊弟妹組成的合唱團體The Browns於1965所推出，成績不怎麼理想，除了在錢櫃鄉村榜獲得第21名，包含在告示牌的流行榜均落在100名之外。之後有Nancy Sinatra ( 知名演員、歌手Frank Sinatra的女兒)、二人組團體Just Us等翻唱，唯都將原歌名《You Can’t Grow Peaches on a Cherry Tree》改成了《I Can’t ………》。
