老歌亂談(883)Peaceful Easy Feeling
美國歌手Jack Tempchin某次在家鄉聖地牙哥的一間民歌咖啡館演唱，想要勾搭店裡的一位女侍，未料這位女侍虛與委蛇，一去不回，應該是時間已晚，使得他已無交通工具返家，只得將就睡在店裡的地板上，而一時又睡不著，乾脆拿起吉它來寫歌，並將歌詞寫在朋友替他製作的演唱宣傳單的背面 ( 此張寫了歌詞的宣傳單，目前被收藏在葛萊美的博物館。) 也是這首《Peaceful Easy Feeling》的初版，之後陸續在其他場合將這首歌補充完成，時間應該是在1969左右。
稍後，Jack Tempchin移居到洛杉磯，並常和Jackson Browne、J.D. Souther以及Glenn Frey這批想闖入音樂界的人混在一起。某日，Frey聽到Tempchin在彈唱這首《Peaceful Easy Feeling》，立刻問是否可由他讓此曲有更進一步的發展？其實Frey在8天前才剛組成老鷹合唱團，Tempchin顯然同意並交給Frey一捲此曲的卡帶，而第二天Frey就已和他的團員錄好了這首歌的Demo帶，也回交給了Tempchin。1972，Eagles發行了首張與樂團同名的專輯《Eagles》，收錄其中的此曲作為第三首發行的單曲，成績不差，在告示牌熱門榜獲得了第22名。

看此影音，想到後來Glenn Frey和左右兩位的貝士手及主奏吉他手均不歡而散，Frey自己則已在2016向上帝報到，頗是令人感慨。
