老歌亂談(869)Up Around The Bend
此首《Up Around The Bend》為美國樂團Creedence Clearwater Revival ( 清水合唱團，簡稱C.C.R. ) 的主唱兼吉他手John Fogerty所寫，收錄在1970的專輯《Cosmo's Factory》中，並與另首《Run Through the Jungle》作雙A面的單曲發行，兩首歌曲均獲得告示牌熱門100排行榜的第4名。
在英國，說某人「go around the bend」，意思是這傢伙「發瘋」了，但Fogerty寫這首歌完全不是此意，之後在英國巡演時，還得不斷地向觀眾作解釋。Fogerty在後來發行的回憶錄中有提到，他是在騎摩托車穿越加州的山丘時，得到了寫這首歌的靈感。很顯然地，這應只是一首「騎遊」的歌曲，但有許多人硬要將之想成是在影射「越戰」，CCR的許多歌曲也同樣地被作此詮釋，或許這和當時強烈的「反戰」社會氛圍有關。
許多人喜歡此曲，是在開始高亢聲調的前奏 ( 含間奏，也就是歌曲的riff。)，有提振心情之效。疾速的飆遊，駛向心中的目的地，其實這算是首「正面、進取」的歌曲。英國鼎鼎大名的歌手Elton John，在其事業的早期曾翻唱此曲。其他在多部影片中亦有引用此曲，如2000丹佐華盛頓主演的《Remember the Titans》( 台譯：衝鋒陷陣 ) 及2006李察基爾主演的《The Hoax》( 台譯：騙局 ) 等等。
