老歌亂談(743)Crazy Arms
美國鄉村歌手Ray Price雖然在之前已有了幾首成功的歌曲，然而積極進取的他，以其所創的Texas shuffle sound ← 其組合包含了有fiddle ( 小提琴 )、pedal steel guitar ( 踏板鋼弦吉他 )、walking electric bass ( 以電貝士作類爵士樂的演奏方式 ) 以及4/4的搖擺節奏。並經由這首《Crazy Arms》來介紹給他的歌迷，此曲於1956拿下了鄉村榜的冠軍，也自此奠定了Ray Price的歌星地位。而此種鄉村音樂也成為了50年代中後期至60年代前期的標準型式。
此曲的作者之一為Ralph Mooney，本身也是pedal steel guitar的吉他手。據他說，會寫此曲的想法，是因他的酗酒問題導致老婆離開了他。眼看自己的愛人投入別人的臂彎懷抱，肯定不是滋味。呵呵，酒還是少喝一些為妙！

2012，在eBay拍賣網站被發現了一張由Wynn Stewart於1954灌錄此曲的唱片，恐為此曲最早的錄唱者。而翻唱此曲的知名歌手眾多，包含有Pasty Cline、Waylon Jennings、Willie Nelson等等。以下所貼為Linda Ronstadt的版本，收錄在她1971與自己同名的專輯中。
Patty Loveless經常在現場演唱此曲，幾乎也成了她的招牌歌之一。
