此曲為美國歌手Bob Seger所寫，收錄在他1978的專輯《Stranger In Town》中。此曲也是Seger和他的銀彈樂隊 ( The Silver Bullet Band ) 的熱門曲，在美國告示牌熱門排行榜達到第13名。
這是一首情歌，而由歌詞看來，應是首邀約「一夜情」的挑情歌。夜已深了，孤寂男女，就算彼此並不是很中意對方，管它明天會是怎樣，就讓我們擁有今夜吧！外國影片中常有獨自在酒吧喝悶酒的男女，喝到酒吧都快打烊了，然後倆人挽手離開，那種場景似乎滿符合歌曲的意境的。^^
1983，Kenny Rogers & Sheena Easton翻唱的版本，在「鄉村單曲」榜拿下冠軍，在「當代成人」及「流行」榜也分居2、6名。2002，愛爾蘭歌手Ronan Keating和LuLu的版本，在英國排行榜達到第4名，也轟動一時。
