此曲為美國鄉村歌手Vince Gill與人所合寫，由其1990的同名專輯中所另發行的單曲。雖然在告示牌鄉村榜只拿下第2名，卻獲得鄉村音樂協會 ( CMA ) 選為年度最佳單曲，也為他奪得了一座最佳鄉村男歌手的葛萊美獎。此為Vince Gill的第1座葛萊美獎，之後共贏得20座，為歷來獲得最多葛萊美獎項的鄉村男歌手。
合唱此曲的為鄉村女歌手Patty Loveless，她和知名的女歌手「礦工的女兒」Loretta Lynn有堂姊妹的關係，而Patty Loveless自己在歌壇的成績也不差，有40首進入鄉村榜的歌曲，其中包含了3首冠軍曲。由於曲風唱腔等的因素，Patty Loveless一度被拿來和Patsy Cline對比，但多數的評論仍認為她只是呈現自己的風格。
