老歌亂談(553)The Most Beautiful Girl
此曲最早於1968由寫歌者之一的Norris Wilson以歌名《Hey Mister》錄唱發行，這位Norris老兄曾替多位知名的鄉村歌手寫過 ( 或合寫 ) 不少暢銷曲，而等到唱自己的歌時，在排行榜成績最好的一首---《Do It to Someone You Love》，也不過才第20名。
1973，美國鄉村歌手Charlie Rich將《Hey Mister》改唱為《The Most Beautiful Girl》，成績好的超乎想像，在告示牌的鄉村、流行及易聽 ( Easy Listening ) 三個排行榜均獲得冠軍，可稱得上是三冠王。Charlie Rich中年以後，可能是由於頭髮變白，博得了個「Silver Fox」的綽號。此曲及同時期的另首《Behind Closed Doors》，都是Charlie Rich知名的代表作。
交到了漂亮的女朋友，可不要隨便地惹她生氣。否則，會像歌中的這位老兄，變得可憐巴巴的，等於是到處在張貼附有道歉聲明的尋友啟事了。呵呵！

真的好可憐!
這老兄的癡情與真誠
我想當時很多人聽了都會想幫他尋人吧~
一個女孩遇上這樣的男人很幸福
的確是深情款款
但感情的事也勉強不來
有些就是死纏不放，結果成了「恐怖情人」
甚至激烈到以結束對方的生命作為收場
華人承襲了儒家的禮教思想
大部份的家庭對於兩性間的相關話題都視為禁忌或儘量迴避
這也是當今的政府及社會應審慎檢視和思考的
