老歌亂談(543)Sea of Heartbreak
此首《Sea of Heartbreak》為Paul Hampton與Hal David所寫，由Don Gibson於1961錄唱發行，獲得告示牌鄉村榜的第2名。
歌曲描述的是失戀後的感覺，無論是以虛擬的在海上漂浮，或是真實在海外服役的鄉村青年，都是對於曾經擁有的愛的一種思念。
翻唱此曲的歌手和樂團也有不少，像有樓下才介紹過的The Searchers，而其中最有名的應該是Johnny Cash了，甚至於他的女兒Rosanne Cash也在2009和Bruce Springsteen合錄了這首歌。

Don Gibson不僅是位歌手，也是位歌曲作家，60年代由Ray Charles唱紅的經典名曲《I Can't Stop Loving You》，即是出自其手。
