老歌亂談(378)Halfway to Paradise
這首歌是大才女Carole King和她的老公Gerry Goffin一起攜手創作的，而且等於是為當時才16歲的Tony Orlando所量身打造。此曲於1961推出後，成績並不理想，只勉強擠進了排行前40名 ( # 39 )。反倒是另位Billy Fury的版本，在英國排行榜大獲成功，達到了第3名，也成了此曲較為知名的版本。
之後Bobby Vinton在1968推出了他擅長的抒情版，成績也還不錯 (# 23 )，至於Sandy Posey在1967所翻唱的， 就名不見經傳了 ( 無資料可尋 )。可是我反而喜歡Sandy的版本，或許是受了她的招牌歌《Single Girl》的影響，我覺得她的歌聲聽起來就有點那種哀怨小女人的味道，也滿符合這首憧憬進入愛情伊甸園的寂寞芳心的歌曲內容。
當愛情的蘊火被撩撥，卻又不上不下時，那種甜甜酸酸又焦急無奈的滋味，恐怕只有親身經歷過的人才能體會吧！^^
※Tony Orlando去年才來台灣演唱，他最成功和知名的歌曲，應是那首《Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oke Tree》了。

尤其深夜聆聽更有味道
這讓我想起學生時期
晚間聽收音機的那種感受氛圍

氣氛對了，歌也會變得好聽起來^^
我年輕時也很喜歡夜深人靜的氣氛
獨自一人，泡杯咖啡，聽個音樂，看看書……
現在已完全沒有這種浪漫想法
連跨年也是早早就去睡了
