奇怪？我最近看電影台的影片，老是會聽到一些熟悉的西洋老歌。前幾天看一部《賭城大丈夫》( 原片名Last Vegas )←其實是昨天才續看完，片中女主角Mary Steenburgen飾演一位因失業而轉至小夜總會唱歌的歌手，在片中唱的就是這首《Only You》，只不過是改成了爵士版。

這首歌最早是由The Platters於1954年推出，但情況出乎預期的糟，之後欲再重錄，但嘗試唱了許多次，效果仍不理想。某次他們在行駛的車中試唱，車子忽然一個急煞拉扯，主唱Tony口中的那句變成了"O-oHHHH-nly you"，當時大家都笑了出來，而最後決定要保留這個效果，也成了這首歌在1955重推出版本的賣點。此版本在R & B排行榜冠軍位置停留了七週，也獲得告示牌熱門百大的第5名。

1974年，披頭合唱團的鼓手Ringo Starr在John Lennon的推薦之下翻唱此曲，Lennon不僅親自以木吉他參與伴奏，還為Ringo錄唱了示範帶。Ringo的翻唱版成績亦不惡 ( 1975 Billboard Hot 100 chart / #6，Easy Listening Chart / #1 )，但曲風唱法改得怪怪的，我聽不太來。
