老歌亂談(159)Get Together
這首歌原來的歌名是《Let's Get Together》，最先由The Kingston Trio ( 京士頓三重唱 )於1964推出。接著又有前面介紹過的We Five在1965將之改編，但這次就沒有像先前那首《You Were On My Mind》般的運氣了，只得到了31名，也是他們最後一首進榜的熱門曲。
The Youngblood在1967也推出了他們的版本，並將歌名改為《Get Together》，開始時的銷售狀況也不怎麼樣。而這首主要是在歌頌兄弟同志情誼的歌曲，後來被一個「國際猶太基督教協會」的組織相中，作為他們的推廣歌曲，在電視和收音機中大力放送，這和現在的打歌或廣告歌沒啥兩樣，使得歌曲不紅也難。1969，The Youngblood將版本重新推出，一舉衝上了排行榜第五名，也獲得了銷售百萬張的金唱片，但這卻也是他們唯一進入排行榜前40名的歌曲。
之後又有英國樂團The Dave Clark Five於1970再將歌改名為《Everybody Get Together》推出，但在英國的單曲排行榜也僅獲得第八名。( 呵呵！再改歌名也未必有效。)
這是當年我很喜歡的一首西洋歌曲，尤其是那段Come on people now......，很簡單的幾句，只要記一記，保你之後再聽，心中一定會跟著唱。哈哈哈！

我比較喜歡 Joni Mitchell & CSNY 版本, Joni 歌声出眾. James Taylor, Shania Twain....一般老美家都有亇一,两捲. 以上歌星團体看起來都事業遂. 想起 Del Snannon 在自宅以 0.22 卡賓槍自殺, Troy Donahue 曾流落中央公園, 他最後的同居人好像是亇華人. (Troy 在 "The Godfather" 被 James Caan 打成肉包子了.) 日本 井上忠夫 (此人上過 Ed Sullivan Show 曾替鄧麗君作曲 香港之夜,總有一天,你在我心中.....), 2000年 因眼疾難挨自殺. 總之 Beatles 一統天下打垮眾藝星無數, 真中不乏值得懷念的.
