英文翻譯 In the serene and glorious temple We come to honor and admire With many talented followers and officials Abiding by the righteous and moral will of King Wen Facing the spirit of King Wen in the heaven Dukes and officials were singing praises at the temple For he received God’s blessings, and his righteousness was prevailing His benevolence and morality was memorized by the whole nation 〈清廟〉的作者是周公，周公為了紀念文王效法天德、敬上帝、愛民的事蹟，特別譜寫了這首詩追思他。關於這首詩《毛詩正義》解釋說：「清廟者，祭有清明之德者之宮也，謂祭文王也。天德清明，文王象焉，故祭之而歌此詩也。濟濟之眾士皆執行文王之德，文王精神巳在天矣，猶配順其素如存生存。」 關於文王的事跡，《詩經》這樣描述：「文王在上，於昭于天，周雖舊邦，其命維新。有周不顯，帝命不時，文王陟降，在帝左右。」大意是說：文王的功績在眾人之上（為萬民景仰），光明之德彰顯於天（於是上帝賜他祥福），周岐雖然是陳舊的城邦，然而上帝恩賜的天命重新臨降，帶領他們興旺起來。周岐的前途不但光明寬廣，上帝授與天命的時間也非常恰當，不管文王升到天上或降臨地上，始終都站在上帝的左右兩旁。 | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
