不可輕看上帝的祝福

創世紀：25.v27-34

v27.The boys grew up, and Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the open country, while Jacob was a quiet man, staying among the tents.

兩個孩子漸漸長大，以掃善於打獵，常在田野；雅各為人安靜，常住在帳棚裡。

v28.Isaac, who had a taste for wild game, loved Esau, but Rebekah loved Jacob.

以撒愛以掃，因為常吃他的野味；利百加卻愛雅各。

v29.Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the open country, famished.

有一天，雅各熬湯，以掃從田野回來累昏了。

v30.He said to Jacob, "Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I'm famished!" (That is why he was also called Edom. )

以掃對雅各說：我累昏了，求你把這紅湯給我喝。因此以掃又叫以東【就是紅的意思】。

v31.Jacob replied, "First sell me your birthright."

雅各說：你今日把長子的名分賣給我吧。

v32."Look, I am about to die," Esau said. "What good is the birthright to me?"

以掃說：我將要死，這長子的名分於我有什麼益處呢﹖

v33.But Jacob said, "Swear to me first." So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob.

雅各說：你今日對我起誓吧。以掃就對他起了誓，把長子的名分賣給雅各。

v34.Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. So Esau despised his birthright.

於是雅各將餅和紅豆湯給了以掃，以掃吃了喝了，便起來走了。這就是以掃輕看了他長子的名分。

以上的經文是詮釋當時【以掃】如何將（長子）的身份轉讓給【雅各】，一般常理來看兄弟間的互動似乎沒什麼...但就當時那世紀來說（長子）的身分是不同於現在社會的情況，在那時（長子）的身份是有一定權柄.............

一.輕看上帝所賜的名份就是出賣自己

【長子】---權柄、地位、大祭師、族長---所得的【福份】可得雙份的產業、預言的祝福

＊神常常重視我們的選擇，魔鬼確利用引誘使我們出賣自己。

＊不重視神所賜給我們的祝福便會失去更多......。

希伯來書/12.v16-17

v16.See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son.

恐怕有淫亂的，有貪戀世俗如以掃的，他因一點食物把自己長子的名分賣了。

v17.Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. He could bring about no change of mind, though he sought the blessing with tears.

後來想要承受父所祝的福，竟被棄絕，雖然號哭切求，卻得不著門路使他父親的心意回轉。這是你們知道的。

二.不看重上帝的祝福會失去更多

＊看重【長子】名分就是看重信靠上帝的應許跟成就。

＊看重神所看重的，不要看重神所不看重的

羅馬書/9.v13

v13.Just as it is written: "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated."

正如經上所記：雅各是我所愛的；以掃是我所惡的。

世上三種人：咒詛、靠自己、世代蒙福的後裔.....（你想做哪一類型的人）
