The Village of Fearrington

2002.01.26 (Sat)

It was the 1st time that we visit Fearrington Village, which is a place 15 mins south of Chapel Hill. We've tried to come here for several times and finally made it!

One special scene of this country village was some belted Galloway cows gazing in the pastures. Every cow had white fur circled around its belly, looked just like a belt.

We had our lunch in "The Market Cafe". Charles ordered "Seared Flank Steak", and I ordered "Barbecue Chiken Salad". The food was much better than we expected. The beef was tender and juicy, the chicken was trditionally southern-flavoered, very special, and the vegetables were so fresh.

After lunch, we strolled up and down the village and found it's a small place with all the surprises and lovely things.

In a word, the weather was good, the food was exquisite, the cow was funny, and spent the afternoon with someone you love is pleasant.
