two heart-warming professors from U of Oregon

*first letter- from professor Joey Bargsten :

Hello Everyone,
As some of you know, I have once again joined the fray of academic
life, this time in sunny Ft. Lauderdale. I’m part of the School of
Communications and Multimedia Studies at Florida Atlantic University, and I’m very pleased with the progressive spirit of the faculty and the opportunity to continue my research.
Also, I want to thank you all for the part you’ve played in helping me arrive here, so I’ll be following up with notes of a bit more specific content to each of you soon?叺ut I wanted to get the word out.
Hope you all have a fantastic autumn!

*reply from professor Bargsten:

Hello Li-Chuan!
Very good! I’m glad you’re attending Pratt - it’s a great school!
Are you living in Manhattan, or somewhere more affordable like Brooklyn or Hoboken (NJ)? My brother and his family live in Jersey City, and I visit on occasion.
I’m very proud of you - keep up the good work!
regards,
Joey

* second letter-from professor Justin Novak
hi li-chuan.
it is lovely to hear from you...
and it was good for me, too, to see a familiar face in chelsea.
congratulations on your acceptance into graduate school!
i know that new york can be a big, overwhelming place to live in.
(i lived there for 15 years!)
vancouver is breathtakingly beautiful!
it is good to be here.
i will be teaching ceramics here and also design, (and maybe drawing, too, in the future).
if you are ever on the west coast again, let me know.
i wish you the best of luck!
stay in touch,
justin
