澎湖縣湖西鄉潭邊自然生態景觀，海岸線潮間帶為澎湖內海海域的一環，由於是海陸交互作用地區，蘊藏非常豐富的浮游生物。但近年來遭受外來破壞，加上銀合歡樹的生長，抑制許多原生動物生長環境，因此縣府目前正商討「潭邊自然生態園區開發案」，以恢復自然環境。

The Tanpein Natural Ecology Park in Huhsi, consists of tidal zone inside Penghu Bay. I is rich with plannkton, because it is a connecting area beteen sea and land. But it suffered human destruction, plus the invation of growth that suppress many indegenous plants'habitat. Therefore the county government has established "Tanpein Natural Ecology Area Development Project" to restore the natural environment of Tanpein.

因此有村民在村內設置銀合歡樹及廚餘資源回收設備，可以將銀合歡轉為有機肥料，然後去覆蓋土壤。這將是相當有利的良性循環，也相當有意義，如果能從潭邊村做起，成功後還可將這項經驗推展到其他地區，對澎湖生態也可以起良性作用。

The villagers in Taipein are conducting a experimental compo project using the debris of White Popinac and kitchen left-over. If the experiment is successful, it will be a significant progress in White Popinac control. The same successful experince can be applied to the control of White Popinac in other parts of Penghu.
