| Hammer mills are operated at high speeds. The rotor shaft carries hammers（hammer mill）that can be T-shaped elements, stirrups. Bars or rings ficed or picoted to the shaft or to disks fixed to the shaft. The rotor runs in a housing containing grinding plates or liners. a cylingdrical screen or grating,aerving as an internal classifier, usually encloses all or part of the rotor.
