The advantages and disadvantages of gyratory crusher

Gyratory crushing machine is coarse crushing equipment; it is mainly used for coarse crushing ore of different hardness in the mineral processing industry and other industrial sectors. Bacteria shaped crushing machine is mainly used for medium crushing and fine crushing a variety of ore.
In the current situation of the concentrator crushing plant in China, most of the broken device uses a standard cone crusher; fine crushing equipment mostly adopts short head cone crusher, which has been an almost stereotype. The choice of coarse crushing equipment is between the gyratory crushing machine and jaw crusher. In order to properly select and rationally use of coarse crushing, and now we briefly analyze and compare with them as follows.
The main advantage of the gyratory crushing machine:
1. Large crushing chamber depth, continuous work, high production capacity, low unit power consumption. It is compared to the same entrance width as the jaw crusher, the production capacity more than twice of the latter and the power consumption per ton of ore is lower 0.5-1.2 times;
2. Work is relatively stable, vibration is lighter, the basis of the weight of the machinery and equipment is smaller. The gyratory crushing machine weight is usually two to three times of the weight of the machinery and equipment, and the basis of the weight of the jaw crusher is 5-10 times of the machine itself;
3. Large gyratory crushing machine can directly feed to the raw ore without additional ore bin and feeder. Jaw crusher cannot be packed to the mine, and has the requirements for the uniform feeding, so it needs separately set the ore bin (or to mine funnel) and feeder when the ore blocks greater than 400 mm;
4. The gyratory crushing machine is easy to start, unlike jaw crusher which needs aids rotating heavy flywheel (segmented start the jaw crusher exception) before the start of;
5. Sheet products the gyratory crushing machine generates is less than that of jaw crushing.
However, gyratory crusher also has the following disadvantages:
1. Body cycles is higher than jaw crusher of generally 2-3 , so the plant's construction costs are large;
2. Machine weight is greater than the jaw crushing which asks the higher investment costs;
3. It is unsuitable for crushing wet and sticky ores;
4. Installation and maintenance are more complex, maintenance is not convenient.
