Fray at Fraser street

This is one of those not so ordinary places that I am happy is just that.

I was happy to find a creative, passionate chef who

supports local farms on the east side.

Chef Antonio Martin has created a fresh,

flavour focussed menu with dishes chock full of local farm

grown veggies and other local fare.

A word from Fray
Always local, always fresh: Fray offers B.C. based meat,

seafood, vegetables, wine and microbrew draft beer in a comfortable

Fraser Street setting, just blocks from Vancouver's Main Street.

Head chef Benny Cheng delivers international cuisine consisting

of British Columbia's freshest local…

Did I mention the Fray Burger is dropping in price?

bar~

The atmosphere is casual and eccentrically delightful.

We want to go back, soon!

RandB East Side Bitter $4.5  OKV RED $4.95

Enjoyed it. Liked that there were board games & things

on a shelf on the wall for customers to take.

Also enjoyed the "games sheet" left on the table

for customers to play with during/after dinner.

Advice: Colouring pencils at each table for kids or adults to colour away a great added touch.

Polenta salad$8.95

To start we both shared the addicting Portobello Fries

A Jenga tower of breaded mushroom fingers,

fried and served with truffle aioli~

Portobello Fries $9.95

Bingo time~We loved the games available to play while we waited.

Buttermilk chicken$10.95 ~cone bread and yammy juicy chicken~

Seared Salmon$14.95

80% full on Wednesday night~

cheese cake$6.95

Food and so good! Great prices too. Worth every penny .

Looking forward to my next visit which will be for Brunch, must try their French Canadian Toast!

Trivia time starts at 8pm

The trivia's host ~

play games for free while waiting~

Starting Wednesday, every burger at Fray can be TaunTauned.
Simply order your favourite burger or sandwich,

tell your server to 'TaunTaun it',

and it'll come to you with a mountainous stack of BBQ pulled pork.

This will apply to the Fray Burger, Mountainview Burger,

the new Whistler Burger (inspired by the fried egg

and beet-loving freakiness of our Australian cousins),

the new Fraser River Shrimp Boat (shrimp and smoked

salmon sandwich with cucumber, red pepper mayo and creamy dill!),

the new Pork Belly sandwich (with apple coleslaw and

walnut and fig compote), and the new Grilled Cheese

Sourdough (triple layered with smoked gouda).
