The Urban Tea Merchant

Lovely tea-house. Very civil and relaxed atmosphere,

but with excellent staff and standards and a fabulous choice of teas.

Lovely on a rainy day but also great to sit outside

in the sunshine watching the world of 'the village' go by...

$$$ $15-25 per entree

Cuisine Tea, French, Pacific Northwest

Features Kid Friendly, Romantic ~

When we first walked in, we  were surrounded by walls of tea

and welcomed by a friendly host.

The service is fantastic though!

The Urban Tea Merchant has better ambiance and service.

The dining room is very spacious and feels upscale.

my friend ordered" Happy Birthday Tea"..

The manager there was very nice ~

Highly recommended if you don't mind the higher price.

Elegant tea canisters line the back walls, music from the East plays in the background,

and the smell of fresh pastries fill the room.

The tea service here is an experience of all the senses.

if you enjoy macaroons or croissants .

If you are looking for a unique selection of teas

(including the french "cult phenom", the o dor)

this is the place!!

The owner will spend a lot of time with you to help you

with your selection and ensure you will enjoy it.

There are a lot of different tea leaves. If you sit down at cafeteria,

waitress brings big can of tea, which you are..

However, we went and were amazed at the tea selection and quality,

 the service, and atmosphere....

The Urban Tea Merchant really prides themselves in their tea.

I definitely want to come back to try some of their other tea services.

Overall, although the macarons from The Urban Tea Merchant were the most expensive by far,

they also packed the hardest punch in terms of flavor and texture.
