Oishii Sushi Restaurant~
Oishii Sushi incorporates the traditional roots of Japanese cuisine with western and
West Coast influences using only the highest quality ingredients.
'Oishii' roughly translated means yummy.
That is a good description of the food at this unassuming sushi joint.
I like the decor inside, it looks nice and the people working inside were great.
I had a Groupon ($25 for up to $53 worth of food on the set menu),
but if I didn't have a Groupon,
I don't think I would come to this restaurant again.
The food was good, but not spectacular.
$5.95 Sake (small)
Sockeye salmon sashimi - very good. Fresh generous cuts.
Seafood soup$5.95
Gomaae Salad$3.95
soft shell crab$8.95
Dragon roll - pretty good. well put together,
unagi was very moist & plump.$12.95
The sushi chef and the hostess have an encyclopedic knowledge
of sushi and the food is a lot nicer than you would expect,
given the rather cheapo décor.
I think the tables are salvaged from the Hawaiian Village restaurant.
Oyster
Victoria roll$12.95
A good place to eat sushi, with a chef who punches above his weight.
