The Crab Pot in Seattle~

Went as a group of 4 and had lots of fun. We all agreed that coming back was a definite.

It's neat to be able to play with your food! The total bill came to $126.67, went for dinner.

The Crab Pot is the very definition of a tourist trap. Basically, you're coming here for the "SeaFeast"; a bucket of assorted seafood, sausage, potatoes, and corn that the server will dump on your table.

The Good: Service is friendly, if harried. It's fun to wear a bib, take a hammer, and go to town on the shellfish.

Pros:
- food came out super hot
- provided a lot of butter for dipping
- our table was quite roomy
- waiter came by quite a few times
- corn + crab was delicious!!! A++ for that
- we all loved the mallets and the ability to smash our crabs

Cons:
- forced gratuity for group of 6+ instead of 8+ at other places
- the sausage didn't taste very good after 10 minutes (it got cold fast)
- potatoes were lacking flavor
- a/c was on really high on a cool night, wish we brought jackets
- light bulb was burnt out at table when we got there and no one changed it. Created shadows every time someone walked by.

All the cons aren't that bad so it's easily forgiven.

I loved the clams, dungeness crab, mussels and shrimp.

Didn't care much for the snow crab or potatoes.

The seafood was really fresh. Not seasoned well, and very one dimensional..

That being said every different kind of shellfish was cooked very well!'

The andouille sausages were pitiful little slivers that were tough and not very appetising.

The corn was so sweet..

I am undecided about whether what we ended up paying (about $35 per person) was good value...
