This restaurant is located on Stamp's Landing so can be hard to

find.. if you're on 6th ave close to ash st. heading west..

turn right at moberly road.. then follow that to the end and

you'll see the restaurant.. if you are lucky you'll be able to

snag one of the few street parking spots.. otherwise you can

valet with the restaurant for $8~

Most of the menu is seafood but they also have a few meat dishes.

I would love to have drinks in the late night here one day to enjoy the nice night view  for sure.

We came around 3;30,.it was not rush hours~

Balinese Lemongrass Chili Scallops~

 We had calamari for a starter and it was good~

Pan-Fried Oysters 15.00
green asparagus & oyster
mushroom quiche~

Seafood Corn Chowder 8.00

baby corn kernels and cream, clams,smoked salmon and fresh fish~

Chowder was a marginal step above Campbell's chunky.

The food was amazing!!

The food was great, and the view is super nice. We were lucky because it was a sunny and clear day.
Nice place for a date.We havn't been see each other for almost 8 years..Time flys!!

The views from this restaurant are amazing as its right on the

water ( neighbour of granville island) and you can see downtown as well.

 Monk's Upstairs compared to Monk's Oyster Bar which is downstairs.. there are differences in food, ambience, etc.

The Upstairs also has a dance floor so its one of those few places in van that you can bring a date out  for dinner and dancing.

I'm so glad for her that she finally found her Mr.Right ,and will be a mom in October this year~
