Charm Modern Thai at Yaletown.

Found a pretty good place to unwind with friends for drinks and/or dinner. They have a cool lounge bar as well within their restaurant. Good vibe and energy to the place – cool & modern. Food is outta this world. Fusion Thai with a really creative menu. Try their organic chicken breast covered with green tea and lemon grass. Very tasty and tender.

Dramatic blood-red walls, striking gilded mirrors, and plush banquettes set a come-hither tone at this new Yaletown room from the Thai House group. The menu for this self-titled “resto-lounge” puts a modern spin on classic dishes. Skip the curries—appetizers and small plates are what truly shine. Larb gai made with minced organic chicken delectably plays off hot, sour, salty, and sweet, and green papaya salad is resplendent with fiery freshness.

Prawn lovers shouldn’t miss the luscious drunken tiger prawns delicately battered and quick fried with cracked pepper and garlic, served with a refreshing green mango salad. Snack-sized spring rolls are an ideal accompaniment for the fruity cocktail list including deliciously perplexing drinks like Phuket Caiprioshka and Soi Cowboy.

Food, Tweetups, friends and networking.. Charm Modern Thai and Bar seems to be the 'it' spot in Yaletown for networking or just hanging out at the bar or your table with friends!

Food was awesome and different than Thai food we’ve had before – like East meets West but in a good way. Would recommend the organic chicken breast for sure.

It was in cool Yaletown with hip decor and people.

Really good high end food for what you pay for. Reasonable prices. We loved the Thai papardelle,, and duck sticks for appies. Good place to hang out for food or drinks. Modern and hip. Will go back again once the snow is gone for sure.

Good drinks. Service was attentive which made us feel important so we tipped well.

Place has a good vibe to it – very intimate and cool. Service was excellent, and the waiter spent a lot of time recommending specialty dishes. Best pad thai we’ve had around town and we eat at a lot of Thai restaurants! Menu was a bit different as it had mostly fusion but it was all good, and definitely creative. The charm toast makes a great appetizer, and we ordered seconds. Good place for a special occasion for sure.
