With our two for one coupon in hand, we headed to Stonegrill Restaurant, located at 1661 Granville Street, along the beautiful seawall in downtown Vancouver.

Stonegrill has managed to nab itself a stunning piece of property across the water from Granville Island and nestled between low-rise condominiums and a marina.

We entered the restaurant a touch late for our 7:00pm reservation.

Let it be known that many restrictions apply when using said coupons but they are not impossible to work around.

The initial reaction to Stonegrill was one of awe, as the location is truly stunning with a fantastic view of the water from any point in the massive dining space.

We were seated at a front window table for five and we immediately began to peruse the menu in search of information on how all of this

The very name of the restaurant, Stonegrill, is directly indicative of the cooking method.

 Bar/Lounge.

Fortunately, I had done my research and while I understood the general idea,

 that we would be choosing from a variety of meats and sides placed on a special volcanic stone that reached temperatures of nearly 400 degrees Fahrenheit,

 providing us with a taste sensation with no need for seasoning or sauce,

I was still uneasy about exactly how this all worked.

 Any attempt to read the instructions and information page on how to cook and eat your food was abolished by low lighting and a menu page of black type on dark grey paper.

Not to worry, I thought, the waiter will explain all when our dinner arrives.

Sherry's meal was Mixed Grill.there were chicken , pork and lamp.for $39.99

Wayne's meal was NY  steak and Prawn for $34.99

Yu Ting's meak was Rsck of Lamb for $34.99   

Her boyfriend's meal was Sable fish for $32.99
