All you do is go to Stanley Park and follow the big circle around the park, you can’t miss it.

It’s right across the road from Lost Lagoon.  If you’re not sure,

Second Beach Pool at Stanley Park - Vancouver

Second Beach Pool is perfect for families .  The little kids can sit and splash if they want to, while the big ones go down the slide and dive for quarters in the deeper water. I like it’s round shape because I could see everything no matter where I was standing.

Adult for $4.50+tax. kids only  $2.25+tax

Stanley Park at North Lagoon Drive

A favourite with Vancouver pioneers when in the 1880s this was the beach to go to for church social, family groups and of course, to cool off. This was also the site of the city's first draw & fill pool; an outer concrete wall with huge locking gates, captured the water at high tide. After a few days the water was warmer and made for lovely swimming. At the end of each week the pool gates were opened at low tide releasing the week's supply sort of water and making ready for the next high tide of clean, cool water. In 1995 the old pool, which failed to meet new health standards, was replaced by a new, graduated depth, heated pool. It is a beautiful facility attracting length swimmers, casual dippers and children alike.

I didn’t notice too many big people without kids at Second Beach.  I guess it’s a bit small for them because the water never goes any deeper than 5 feet.  Plus the lanes you’re allowed to swim in are only 50 metres long.

Activity: Splash. Swish. Whee! Plunk

Wanna go there too?  All you do is go to Second Beach Pool in Stanley Park.

It really is the bestest.

I can sit in the water and splash my feet, or even lie on my tummy and practise swimming.

Second Beach Pool has slides for big kids too; one even looks like a seal balancing a striped ball on its nose. Adults can paly that too!!!ha..

Let’s see.  What else?  Second Beach has a way-neat playground with swings and slides.

If you want, you can go to the beach too and look for crabs.

.

Don’t worry if you get hungry, because there’s a concession at Second Beach.  You can buy fries,

hamburgers and even fish (yammy!).

you can also enjoy the beautiful sunset from swimming pool!

Anyway, you get the picture.  you can’t go to Second Beach Pool and not have fun.

Enjoy the summer time in Vancouver.

Beautiful sunset!

Just relaxing..at Second Beach .
