Acknowledgements

I would first of all like to thank my dissertation tutor, Dr. Diane Grant, for her help and guidance throughout the process of dissertation. I would also like to thank for my personal tutor, Dr. Martin Selby, for his care and support in this year.

Besides, I would like to greatly thank my dearest parents, Rocky and Candia, for their love and fully support in my life to make everything possible. I love you two so much!

Finally, I would like to thank Gloria, Charlottes, Rachel, Jari and Yung for their overseas support and encouragement during a time when I was extremely stressed and feeling lost in my work.
