劇情簡介：

　　Somewhere in Time《似曾相識》，是1980年浪漫的科幻電影。

　　電影改編自理察·麥瑟森1975年小說Bid Time Return《重返的時刻》。

　　男主角Richard Collier在他的畢業典禮上遇到一個神秘老婦人，她停在Richard的跟前，輕聲低喃說：「回到我的身邊」。她交給Richard一個古舊的懷錶後，老婦人於夜色中緩緩的消失。

　　事隔八年後，成為劇作家的Richard跟女朋友分手後決定前往麥克金納島度假，在他下榻的Grand Hotel歷史廳裡掛著一幅畫像，他感到似曾相識，那時刻似是有什麼撞擊著他的心靈。

　　經過Richard的多番查證後，原來那是已故的女演員Elise McKenna的畫像，也就是八年前將懷錶交給他的那個老婦人，而她就在當天晚上過世。經過更深入的調查後，Richard發現，原來自己曾與Elise相戀。為了此事而廢寢忘食的Richard，找到他從前大學的教授幫助，他憑著時光倒流技術回到過去。穿著70年前的衣物，自我催眠的Richard多次嘗試後，終於成功回到過去。他找到了Elise，很快他們熱戀起來。但就在他們幸福愉快地談論著將來時，Richard卻不小心從衣袋裡拿出一枚屬於現今的錢幣，瞬間的時空轉移把他帶回現實。

　　無法尋回愛人的Richard將自己鎖在房間裡，幾天後，Grand Hotel的員工救出了昏迷的Richard，但此時的Richard因為整整一個星期沒有進食而進入彌留狀態。此時的他出現了幻覺，他看見年輕的Elise正向他招手，二人終於重聚，永遠快樂地在一起。
