Andre 20 - Typical Him

My roommate came to see me and made a call to Andre for me. He told me that he couldn’t come down to see me because he had to work. “What!? The work is even more important than I?!” Of course I was pissed. I told him, “if you don’t show up tomorrow, then never show up again!”He agreed that he would do it.

The next day, I expected to see him, but he didn’t show up until the afternoon so I called to check him up. He told me that he just got home from work. What?! That means he didn’t even plan to come! I was outrageous, and I was too disappointed to say anything anymore. I told him fine and gave up my expectation on him.

He showed up the next day. He came into the room with flowers in a glass vase and a balloon printed a cute bear and“I’m sorry.”I was so angry at him, but when he walked into the door, right when I saw his face, I smiled. I am such a loser. I just couldn’t get mad at him. He gave me the flower and the balloon. I really didn’t know whether I should accept his “silent apology” or not. The words on the balloon spoke for him, but I’d rather to hear him say it. The gift was not what I expected, but I did not tell him. He realized it when my roommate showed up and gave me a BIRTHDAY card and gift. I needed to say nothing. He realized that he forgot my birthday, as he always did.

It was the funny nurse’s shift again when Andre came. She watched a TV show “Cheaters”in my room. It was a show that the crew took your request to investigate on your partner, just like a private detective, but everything was on TV. A TV channel in Taiwan showed it for a few times. Damn, that was a perfect time and place to watch it. Andre asked me what we were watching, and we answered him loudly, “CHEATERS!”The nurse went crazy when she watched it. I knew that she was referring to Andre. Sisterhood rules!

When she saw Andre kissed on my forehead, she said, “man, you should kiss her toes, each of them! And say you’re sorry!”She’s really cool. I couldn’t help smiling again.

Andre stayed with me in the hospital for 2 days. He didn’t have a bed to sleep so he had to sleep on the chair. After the long hours of driving, he was tired, and he didn’t have a cozy bed to sleep and relax. When he felt asleep, I looked at his face and started feeling sorry for making him here…
