原本早在2005年的八月就已經排好年假想去肯亞
不過當時沒有事先計畫好
加上暑假EK飛往肯亞奈洛比的飛機班班爆滿
我這standby機票的命肯定拿不到位子
於是改去馬來西亞沙勞越的叢林看長鼻猴
今年痛改前非
半年前排好年假後立刻開始查資料
首先就是要找到價錢公道的旅行社
在機上問過幾個一起做工的肯亞籍組員有沒有認識或推薦的旅行社
但始終沒有得到什麼結果
就像好幾次新加坡籍組員興致勃勃地問我去台灣要玩什麼
我就隨口呼嚨說去士林夜市吃到飽和101看夜景
總之後來在網路上把Lonely Planet推薦的旅行社通通查了一遍
終於找到兩個把行程與價錢明明白白寫清楚的網站
分別寫e-mail詢問之後
其中一家的價錢最低，偷笑撿到便宜
不過後來看了行程後才忿忿地發現
價錢低是因為不包括所有國家公園的入門費
一般來說，其他的公司報價時都已經包括入門費了
暗藏價錢的行為讓我覺得有種被欺騙的感覺
最後決定選擇了Eastern & Southern Safari (http://www.essafari.co.ke/)
主要是他們安排的行程比較是我想要的
加上他們網站上有許多不錯的comments
而且這幾個月e-mail聯絡時
負責人Serah的回信態度也很專業
匯訂金之前再三確認這個旅行社沒問題
四月初匯過訂金之後
就一直興奮地期待著六月底趕快到來哩...

Day 8/July 03: Full day Masai Mara - Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 9/July 04: Back to Nairobi/End of our services.

【行程概述】
Day 1: June 26 2006 Nairobi
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (pls advise flight details). Meet by our representative and transfer to Nairobi Safari Club (with a brief stop at our office) for overnight stay on bed and breakfast basis. Dinner on own account.

Day 2: June 27 2006 Nairobi/Samburu
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through central Kenya and north across the equator to Samburu National Reserve arriving Samburu Serena Lodge in time lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Approx Transit time: 5½ hrs

Day 3: June 28 2006 Samburu
Spend the day in Samburu, with an early morning and late afternoon game drive. Samburu is a beautiful and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy’s zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. Optional activities include a visit to a local Samburu village, camel riding and guided nature and bird walks. All meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.

Day 4: June 29 2006 Samburu/Mountain Lodge
Depart Samburu after breakfast and drive to the lower slopes of Mt. Kenya arriving Serena Mountain Lodge (tree hotel) in time for lunch. Relax the afternoon away as you watch game from the balcony with an optional guided nature walk. Overnight floodlit game viewing –Mountain Lodge rightfully boasts of having the highest record of animal visits and sightings in the area. Dinner and overnight at the ‘tree lodge.’

Day 5: June 30 2006 Mountain Lodge/Lake Nakuru
Depart Mountain Lodge in the morning and drive to the floor of the Rift Valley - to Lake Nakuru National Park making a brief stop at Nyahururu Thomson Falls. Arrive Sarova Lion Hill Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and
many species of plains game. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: July 1 2006 Lake Nakuru/Lake Naivasha
Another morning game drive in Nakuru, then depart for Naivasha, arriving Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon boat ride on Lake Naivasha and a walking safari at Crescent Island, one of the few places in the world where one can wander on foot amidst wild animals - there are no predators. Return to Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: July 2 2006 Lake Naivasha/Masai Mara
Depart Lake Naivasha after breakfast and drive further along the floor of the Rift Valley to Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 8: July 3 2006 Masai Mara
Spend the day in Masai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five - lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. The balloon safari will take place at dawn. Drifting gracefully above the savannah watching the wildlife awaken and then landing to a sumptuous bush breakfast with champagne served as the sun warms the plains is worth the early morning call. Afternoon game drive. You will also have the option of visiting a local Masai village. Lunch, dinner and overnight Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 9: July 4 2006 Masai Mara/Nairobi/out
Another early morning game drive in Masai Mara, then depart after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving approx 13:00 hrs. Drop at your hotel or transfer to the airport for onward EK flight home. End of services.
