Turn a blind eye (deaf ear) to something/someone

Sandy:I just can’t help but wonder how you could still be so calm and cheerful since that long-legged bitch keeps bugging you like that.
Kiki:Well, I was a bit upset and emotionally disturbed in the beginning.
Kiki:
Sandy:And then? What did you do?
Sandy:
Kiki:It’s not that hard actually. I just turned a blind eye to her so she became invisible to me.
Sandy:But she likes talking to you all the time, there’s no way you can get rid of her.
Sandy:
Kiki:Well, I also turned a deaf ear to her so I’m doing quite ok. You should really try my coping mechanism. It works quite well.
