Walker：Great. Can you also talk me through a situation where you had to solve a problem yourself, for which there was no set procedures？
沃克：很好。那麼你是否也能詳細告訴我某個你必須自行解決問題的處境，而且這個問題無固定程序可依循？
Mike：Again, when I interned at the branch, an old lady collapsed while waiting in line. I had never met such a situation before, but knowing basic first aid, I put her into the right position, and called for medical help. I was glad that she was soon healthy again because of my swift action.
邁可：同樣是我在銀行實習的時候，有位老太太排隊時昏倒了。我以前從未見過這樣的情形，但我會基本的急救術，於是我就將她調整至正確的姿勢，並打電話要求醫療援助。我很高興她不久便因我的反應快速而恢復了健康。
單字片語
◎talk sb through sth 為某人仔細說明某事
例：The librarian talked me through operating the copy machine.（這位圖書館員仔細為我說明了影印機操作方式。）
◎collapse vi. 崩塌；昏厥
例：Many buildings collapsed during the earthquake.（很多房屋在地震期間倒塌。）
例：The flight attendant suddenly collapsed while serving food to the passengers.（這位空服員在送餐點給乘客時突然昏厥了。）
◎wait in line 排隊等候
例：A lot of people are waiting in line for entry to the concert.（很多人正排隊等候演唱會進場。）

◎first aid 急救
例：Joe came to after receiving first aid.（阿喬經過急救後甦醒了過來。）
◎swift a. 迅速的
例：The government took swift action and sent a rescue team to look for the missing boy.（政府採取迅速的行動，派出搜救隊尋找這名失蹤男孩。）
