故事應該是這樣的。Taylor Swift跟Adam Young (Owl City)未曾謀面，但是Taylor Swift曾在對方的網頁上留言："If I was in town, I'd be there! Front row, super-fan style" 說想去看他的演唱會，坐前排，當個超級粉絲。 一個禮拜後，她果然去了。後來Taylor Swift寫了一首歌叫做Enchanted。並且在歌詞本上藏了Adam這個密碼。然後談起這首歌，她說，"It was about this guy that I met in New York City, and I had talked to him on email before, but I had never met him. And meeting him, it was just this overwhelming feeling of: I really hope that you're not in love with somebody. And the whole entire way home, I just remember the glittery New York City buildings passing by and then just sitting there thinking, am I ever gonna talk to this person again? It was that feeling of pining away for a romance that may never even happen, but all you have is this hope that it could, and the fear that it never will." (那天的合照)

Adam自然知道這字裡行間，因為wonderstruck是他們用來溝通的字眼，後後，他寫了一封信給Taylor，並且錄了一首歌作為回應。

I’ll be the first to admit I’m a rather shy boy and since music is the most eloquent form of communication I can muster, I decided to record something for you — as sort of a “reply” to the breathtaking song on your current record. This is what I wanted so badly to tell you in person but could never quite put into words:
