Color OCT
Dear friends,
This has been quite an eventful month. New York (my beloved city)
and Washington were attacked by terrorists in the most heinous crime
against the U.S. in recent history. I walked knee high in water that
flooded not only my house, but the rest of Taiwan as well. On top of all
this tumult, I finished my album, now known as Wei Yi. This month will stay
with me for the rest of my life, as my world has so suddenly changed.
My album is done and about to be released, and I'm sure that
you all will have ample opportunity to become acquainted with it...so I'm
not going to talk about my new work just yet. Instead, I want to talk about
peace and optimism in the face of tragedy. In the past few weeks, it seems
we have all been called upon to bravely continue on with our lives with
renewed vigor and perspective. As a musician from New York, this is a time
of melancholy inspiration, the kind that sounds on a level as deep as
humanity itself.
Thank God my family and friends are OK, and dear God, please
bless the souls of those thousands of innocent people who lost their lives.
I have been painfully reminded that there are some things that evil cannot
destroy, and I think that is an ironically positive and valuable lesson. I
want to take this opportunity to say to all my fans and the readers of
COLOUR magazine...stay strong. It is up to us to keep the fire burning.
Peace, Love and Music,
Leehom
