Not until just now did I realize how lucky I was last year. A post on Pratt MID yahoo group found me a gorgeous apartment by Fort Greene Park to live with a wonderful roommate Emilie. All I have to do every month is hand checks to her and she will take care of all the bills.

For the past whole month, it has been reeeeeealy frustrating looking for an apartment for two people. Even the difficult trade-offs among location, neighborhood, maintenance, layout, size, and price are all solved, landlords just will never rent any nice apartment to you without a guarantor in the US. How on earth can I find someone to help without any relatives here?
