Kenting:Something for Everyone
When tourists visit Taiwan,they spend of their time in Taipei.Few of them know about Kenting.Kenting is one of Taiwan’s treasures.
Kenting is located near Kaohsiung in southem Taiwan. While the weather in Taipai is often rainy,it seldom rains in Kenting.
The weather is nice most of the year.
Many people visit Kenting to see its natural rocks.Some of the rocks got their names from their odd shapes,such as Cat’s Nose Rock(貓鼻頭)and Frog Rock(青蛙石).But that’s not all. There’s much more to Kenting than just rocks.
If you want to see mountains and forests,then go straight to Kenting. It has one of the largest research centers in the word.
Plus, it more than a thousand different of tropical plants.
Under the ocean’s water are colorful fish and beautiful coral reefs.Long ago,however,ships kept crashing because of the reefs.The ships needed something to help them avoid danger.
The Eluanbi Lighthouse(鵝鑾鼻燈塔)solved this problem.It was built over one hundred years ago. It may be old,but it still works to this day.
What if rocks, tropical plants,and coral reefs aren’t your cup of tea?Kenting National park is also agreat place to have fun.Every year in April,Kenting hosts Spring Scream(春吶).
At spring scream, bands from all over the world playa variety of music.Tourists from many different countries come to Kenting to have thetime of their lives.
