聽電影 V -《吾愛吾師》
《吾愛吾師》(To Sir, With Love) - 1967
就如同另一部經典教師類型電影《春風化雨 1996》 (Mr. Hollands Opus) 中所面臨的嚴厲挑戰所言：「只有爛老師，沒有爛學生…」，影史上所有跟教育英雄相關的電影無不是一個有教無類、任勞任怨、必須同時扮演「蠟燭」與「燈泡」的爛好人，和總是為了一群桀傲不馴、憤世嫉俗、或調皮搗蛋的問題學生，面對「天賦神職」般的壓力與道德勇氣，必須學習丟掉課本教條，用真正的愛心與耐心去幫助孩子們攀上人生的頂端、贏得成人後的尊敬。
影史上還有好多好多的好老師電影，比如說《早安，杜福小姐》(Good Morning, Miss Dove，1955)、《校長》(The Principal，1987)、《春風化雨》(Dead Poets Society，1989)、《黑潮 - 麥爾坎 X》(Malcolm X，1992)、《危險遊戲》(Dangerous Mind，1995)、《187 社會檔案》(One Eight Seven，1997)…等等。
不過不論由什麼角度來看，老師在我們生命中都有不小的影響力，尤其是在我們的成長過程中。而《吾愛吾師》(To Sir With Love) 就是這樣的一部電影，也是這類電影中的經典代表，只要是有關老師電影的話題或論述，這部電影一定都會被提起。
劇中主角薛尼鮑迪 (Sidney Poitier) 與學生們感人至深的精彩互動，終幕傳來由同在戲中擔綱主角的 Lulu 用微微顫抖、沙啞的嗓音唱出深情悅耳的主題曲〈To Sir, With Love〉，非常的舒適愜意、將老師與學生之間天地般寬廣的感情描繪出來，笑中帶淚地展現 60 年代專屬的搖擺 (Swinging) 樂趣。
大多數的美國人第一次聽到 Lulu 沙啞略帶不拘個性的獨特音色都是從這首電影同名主題曲開始的，Lulu 青春氣息的迷你裙、大而圓的白圈耳環跳躍奔動，還有接近歇斯底里的大眼睛，加上歌聲中有著濃濃的節奏藍調 (R&B) 與靈魂樂 (Soul) 的深遠影響，演出風格又剛好是 60 年代晚期青少年最時興的 "M.O.R."(middle-of-the-road) 路線，與 Dusty Springfield、Brenda Lee在當時都是各據一方的玉女紅星、少男殺手呢！

薛尼鮑迪 (Sidney Poitier) 因為這部電影而成為奧斯卡第一位黑人影帝，也是目前為止唯一的一位；而同樣在《黑潮 - 麥爾坎 X》飾演偉大老師的丹佐華盛頓 (Denzel Washington) 雖在 1992 年時以該片獲得柏林影展影帝，並且雙料提名奧斯卡與金球獎的最佳男主角，呼聲甚高，但卻無法突破膚色的障礙獲得主流保守派評審勢力的青睞，實在可惜。
