怪才 Vivian French 用 Funky音樂寫了「如歌的寓言」，愛怎麼唱就怎麼唱，愛怎麼跳就怎麼跳！

這本繪本收入十個寓言故事，全部用這種歡樂的調子寫出來。

作者耍創意，連目錄左邊的作者介紹都用強烈舞蹈節奏的韻文。

這是〈狐狸和烏鴉〉的故事：

Once upon a time there was a fox

(Fox fox fox fox fox fox fox)

And he lived in the woods

(In the woods, in the woods)

And he was always hungry.

He ate and he ate ‘til his jaws were sore

And he ate and he ate and he ate a little more

Then he crunched up the bones and he licked his paw

And he said

“I am hungry!”

And he moaned and he groaned and he mumbled and he grumbled

And he rolled on his belly and his belly rumbled

And he said

“I am SO hungry!”
