驚喜！
讀 經：腓立比書3：20-4：1

你有時是否會突發奇想，想知道天堂到底是什麼樣子呢？我想每個人都會如此。但老實說，當我愈是走到了人世的盡頭，我越是對耶穌所應許給信徒的家，有一股「神聖的好奇心」。當我渡過那河流，進入榮耀的天國時，我的感覺是怎樣的呢？
英國神學家史蒂芬‧尼爾（Stephen Neil）曾自問同樣的問題。起初他多半認為他的感覺應該是很驚訝的，但後來他認定，「說得更確切一點」，他的感覺應該是「驚喜」。
是的，的確是驚喜！使徒保羅稱呼在基督裡的信徒為天上的國民，並且寫道：「等候救主……他將我們這卑賤的身體改變形狀，和他自己榮耀的身體相似」（腓立比書3：20-21）。保羅期待著那麼一天，那時痛苦與悲傷將會永遠地消失。
當我們見到我們的主時，會是一幅多麼震撼靈魂的情景！我們將經歷的會是多麼難以形容的狂喜！最後我們終於完全了解那把我們帶入完美境界的救贖恩典真是奇妙，我們將充滿了驚喜！VCG
因著他無窮恩典的賜予，
我在天堂得到一席之地，
我在那裡凝視他的臉龐，
那臉龐永遠是我的榮耀。Gabriel
當我們見到耶穌的第一眼時，就把死亡的陰影驅除了。

Astonished Joy!
Read: Philippians 3:20-4:1
They shall see His face. --Revelation 22:4
Do you sometimes wonder what heaven will be like? All of us do, I suppose. I confess, however, that the nearer I come to the end of earth's journey the more often I indulge in "sanctified curiosity" about the home Jesus has promised to believers. What will be my reaction when I cross the river and enter into glory?
British theologian Stephen Neill asked himself the same question. At first he was inclined to think his emotion would be astonishment. But then he decided that his emotion, "to put it a little more precisely," would be "astonished joy."
Yes, astonished joy indeed! The apostle Paul called believers in Christ citizens of heaven, and wrote, "We also eagerly wait for the Savior, . . . who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body" (Phil. 3:20-21). Paul looked forward to a day when sin and pain and grief would be gone forever.
What a soul-thrilling vision that will be when we see our Lord! What indescribable ecstasy we will experience! Fully aware at last of the sheer marvel of redemptive grace that has brought us into the presence of unparalleled beauty, we will be filled with astonished joy! --VCG
When, by the gift of His infinite grace,
I am accorded in heaven a place,
Just to be there and to look on His face
Will through the ages be glory for me. --Gabriel
Our first glimpse of Jesus will dispel the dark shadow of death.
