這首鄉村老歌娓娓道盡我這個身在台北的異鄉人思鄉情愁。
高中求學時期，總是勉勵自己能夠考取台北的大學。如今，
台北的大學生活正邁入第五個年頭。或許是我眷戀台北大都
會的繁華與便利，每年平均只回家六、七次左右。每次乘坐
返鄉的班機上，俯視著高雄這幾年來的蛻變已成了我心靈的
慰藉。看著ㄚ爸ㄚ母述說著新高雄的美時，興奮之情溢於言
表，但我卻因自己堪少回家而自責。唯一令我感到欣慰的是
ㄚ爸ㄚ母的身體狀況一切安好，只是臉上盡是歲月劃過的痕
跡。正如歌詞中所述"Driving down the road I get a feeling
that I should have been home yesterday yesterday"，我
不禁問自己，返家的路是否如此的艱辛。
